SoCal Arbeter Ring/Workmen’s Circle will be joining the MLK Coalition in the Kingdom Day Parade this Monday, Jan. 19, along with other progressive Jewish and intercultural groups including The Sholem Community, LA Jews for Peace, Jewish Voice for Peace and Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace.
Our members and friends are urged to march alongside our banner to demonstrate Jewish American unity with African Americans in their struggle for full civil rights andagainst mounting police violence and profiling. Here are the details:
- GATHER in Exposition Park parking lot #6 at the corner of MLK Blvd. and Figueroa St. at 10 AM. Figueroa St. will be open, but many streets will be closed. Parking in lot #6 will cost $10.
- To go by METRO: the EXPO line to the EXPOSITION PARK/USC station and walk through and around Exposition Park to lot #6.
- March will start at 11 AM. The MLK Coalition will be at the end of the parade. We will likely step out at 12 or 12:30 PM.
